This program is cosponsored by Indiana University and the Rothberg International School at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. IU students apply directly to the IU Overseas Study Program for one semester or a full year of study. Most students who study in the program do so during their junior year. Fall, spring, and full year programs are available.
All credit earned appears on the student's IU transcript as IUB credit, satisfies senior residency requirements, and is not considered transfer credit. Students may use IU financial aid for the Hebrew University Program.

IU students may also study at three non-IU sponsored Israeli universities: Ben-Gurion University, Tel Aviv University, and University of Haifa. Students need to apply directly to these three programs and follow procedures for studying abroad on a non-IU overseas study program. Students may use IU financial aid for these programs. Students receive transfer credit.
Study in Israel is considered an integral part of the Jewish studies curriculum.
