Give a Planned Gift/Bequest

Making a planned gift is easy. Most donors do so by naming the Borns Jewish Studies Program as a beneficiary of their will or revocable trust. We suggest the following language:

“I give, devise, and bequeath the (sum of/ percentage of/ residue of my estate) to Indiana University Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation with principal offices located in Bloomington, Indiana, to be utilized for the benefit of the Indiana University Borns Jewish Studies Program [*as specified in a gift agreement on file at said Foundation].”

*a gift agreement is necessary if establishing a new account.  Please contact Brian Yeley at byeley@indiana.edu for more information.

Besides naming the Borns Jewish Studies Program as a beneficiary of your will or revocable trust, there are many other ways to fund your legacy. including:

We know that making a bequest is personal and you may wish to keep it confidential. If you wish to inform the Borns Jewish Studies Program of your intentions, however, it will assist us in our current and future planning. When you include the Borns Jewish Studies Program in your estate plan, you will also be recognized in Indiana University’s Arbutus Society.

The IU Foundation’s development staff will be pleased to answer your questions or help you establish your planned gift to IU Jewish Studies. For further information, contact:
