This course focuses on the Biblical text in its origin. Therefore, it establishes students’ grammatical knowledge and working skills in Biblical Hebrew, such that they may read, think about, discuss and understand the Biblical Hebrew narrative, law, prophecy, and poetic texts.

This course is open to undergraduate students as well as to graduate students. Graduate students should enroll in this course through the NELC Department. Undergraduate students should enroll in this course through the Jewish Studies Program. This course may be used to satisfy the foreign language or the language proficiency requirements. This course may be used to satisfy the GenEd requirements.
