Starting Amateur Radio at Indiana University

Here at IU at the beginning of each semester we have a training program to help people get their Amateur radio licenses. This consists of 2, 2hour class every week for 2 weeks. On the 4th class you will take the exam for your first Amateur radio license. Our instructors include retired faculty, currenty faculty, students, and Amateurs throughout the Bloomington Community.

Class Requirements

The class requires that you buy the "Now You're Talking" book from the ARRL. This book contains all the information for taking the test, including a question pool with all the questions and answers that you could be asked on the multiple choice exam.

There is also a fee for taking the test, the fee is $14.

Class Scheduled For 2006-2007:
September 12th 7pm-9pm in BH015
September 17th 4pm-6pm in BH015
September 19th 7pm-9pm in BH015
September 24th 4pm-6pm in BH015

The test will be givin on the 19th in the last 30min of the class, remember to bring 2 forms of Identification along with $14
