Required Textbooks:
- Thomas Kuhn, The Copernican Revolution
- Robert Martin, Scientific Thinking
- David Moore, Statistics: Concepts and Controversies, 4th ed.

Course Requirements:
- Regular attendance (three unexcused absences)
- Keep up with the readings
- Participation in Friday discussions
- Weekly Homework Assignments
- Exams

Grading:
- 75% assigned by professor based on exams and attendance at lectures on Monday and Wednesday
- 25% assigned by associate instructor based on homework assignments and participation in Friday discussions

Policies:
- Missed exams cannot be made up without an official excuse.
- Late homework will only be accepted with an official excuse.
- You are encouraged to study together, but no copying is allowed on either homework assignments or exams.
- All assignments will be posted on the web. It is your responsibility to check the web site at least every week.
