KOKOMO, Ind.— Indiana University Kokomo academic deans D. Antonio Cantu, Ph.D., and Robert Dibie, Ph.D., have been selected to participate in the 2007 IU Leadership Development Program (IU LeaD).

Now in its second year, IU LeaD provides a formal system for identifying potential university leaders and building leadership skills.

Cantu is a professor and dean of IU Kokomo’s Division of Education. Prior to his IU appointment in summer 2006, Cantu directed undergraduate and graduate social studies education at Ball State University.

Dibie has served as a professor and assistant dean of IU Kokomo’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs since 2005. He was formerly director of the public administration program at Western Kentucky University.

Thirty-five deans and department chairs representing all of the IU campuses were chosen for the 2007 program. They will attend a year-long series of management and leadership seminars at Bloomington.

Susan Sciame-Giesecke, Ph.D., dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, took part in the inaugural IU LeaD program in 2006.
