    • Listening comprehension from Workbook 70-73 (except #D) is due October 15, Thu
    • Recording assignment#3: Questions are on Lesson 2. Find the Assingment#3 folder within K101.

*Oral practice on Wed. (Oct. 14): Based on the given speaking activity, exchange dialogues with your partner. Make sure to use the Honorific Ending ~(À¸)¼¼¿ä properly.

    •  Start with greetings and asking about the other's well-being
    • Expand dialogue (about your partner,  i.e., school year, ethnic identity, major, eating practice (breakfast, drink), etc.
    • The best way to expand the dialogue is to ask your partner back the same question you are asked.

    Some tips:

    • Do not be passive, but spontaneous. Initate conversation, rather than passively respond to your partner's question.
    • Make sure you use the Honorific ~(À¸)¼¼¿ä form in asking about your partner.
    • Do not use any expression your partner may not understand: the topics and expressions should be strictly limited to the ones covered in this class. Do not speak too fast even if you are fluent.
    • You will be graded individually, not as a group. Grading is not on your proficiency, but on your achievement and progress you have made in this class.
    • Your performance may be videotaped for the record and for your review if requested. For this, I ask your permission in advance.
    • See sample dialgues: the sample dialogue does not contain all the necessary items. This is just to show you how the conversation can go about.
