
Dates: September 7-9, 2006
This interdisciplinary conference, the first of its kind at Indiana University, set out to explore the complex relationships between human and nonhuman animals in all their myriad forms, and the ways in which nonhuman animals are viewed, represented, portrayed, and used.
Approximately 35 presenters and moderators from various disciplines and organizations, representing 4 countries and 20 states, engaged in lively exchanges through presentations, panel discussions, and question and answer sessions.
