Brent Harger is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology, where he has taught S100: Introduction to Sociology, S230: Society and the Individual, and S370: Research Methods. He is currently teaching L316: Analytical Problem Solving for LAMP. Outside of the classroom, Brent’s research interests are related to childhood, adolescence, education, and social psychology. His previous research has examined the use of sarcasm and gossip in school staff meetings, and he is currently working on a paper that examines images of professors in popular film over the past 20 years. In his dissertation he plans to examine bullying and teasing in the lives of preadolescent children.
