Timmy Foundation Internship

Sophomore and Junior LAMP Students Only

This is the announcement that so many of you have been waiting for. LAMP is now accepting applications for The Timmy Foundation's Internship. Below is a brief description.

The Timmy Foundation, a U.S.-based non-profit organization that works to provide sustainable access to health care in the developing world, is accepting applications from IU sophomores and juniors enrolled in the LAMP program for a unique internship opportunity with our organization. This internship will offer a hands-on experience working for a unique international NGO.

This internship includes two components: (1) a 3-month summer internship at the Indianapolis office, and (2) a 9-month position at IU-Bloomington as our liaison to the Virtù Project.

David and Cheryl Morley Scholarship

(LAMP Students Only)
Deadline to apply is March 26, 2010

LAMP is pleased to announce a gift from David and Cheryl Morley to support a LAMP student working in a summer internship at a not-for-profit organization that impacts the understanding or amelioration of poverty.

The Morley Award, in the amount of $1,000, will be offered in summer 2010 and subsequent summers. To apply, LAMP students should have an acceptance letter or email from a relevant not-for-profit organization and send that document along with a resume and one-page statement about the internship responsibilities and the connections to career interests. All materials should be sent to or delivered to Wylie 245 by March 26.

Procter and Gamble Consumer Strategy Workshop Summer 2010

Sophomores Only
Deadline to Apply: April 30, 2010

We have just recently received details on the 2010 weekend-long program that P&G Consumer and Market Knowledge offers to current sophomores, the “Consumer Strategy Workshop” (CSW). The CSW will be July 29th – August 1st in Cincinnati, and we’d like to see applications submitted by April 30th.

This is only a weekend-long program (so it will need to work with students’ “full-time” or travel plans for the summer), but most expenses are paid and participants have the opportunity to interview for an internship at the conclusion of the weekend.

Students will come from many schools across the country and dig into a case study that sheds light on the kind of work we do in Procter & Gamble’s Consumer and Market Knowledge function.
