Latino Studies Undergraduate Minor


The Latino Studies minor is an excellent choice for any undergraduate who wants to broaden his or her knowledge about the Latino population of the United States. Our courses are taught by professors in communication & culture, education, history, language, law, literature, music, sociology, and other disciplines. We pride ourselves in bringing relevant scholarship into the classroom.


Requirements


15 credits in College of Arts & Science courses, to include the following:
  • LATS L-101 Introduction to Latino Studies (3 credits)
  • LATS L-102 Introduction to Latino History (3 credits)
  • LATS L-100-level and above, any course (3 credits)
  • LATS L-300-level and above, any course (3 credits)
  • LATS L-300-level and above, any course (3 credits)

(Note: Any of these courses may be joint-listed with other courses.
For example, LATS L-102 is joint-listed with History HIST A-200.
Students may enroll in either section of joint-listed courses.)
