dean's letter

Libraries by definition are reliable and consistent. At IU, we are much more than that: we are also constantly evolving.

By pushing boundaries and redefining ourselves, we work daily both to anticipate the needs of the academic community and to respond to them. Our successes depend on you, and I am grateful for your role in helping us achieve them.

For students and faculty, transformation can happen quickly. An aha moment. An unexpected connection. A new discovery. It can happen gradually, too, where the benefits of library initiatives may not be fully realized for years to come.

Whenever transformation occurs, you are the catalyst. Your needs, your gifts, and your commitment make transformation happen.

Sincerely,
