*Effective February 16, Jonathan Ingels has resigned from his position as Serials Cataloger in Technical Services at IU-Bloomington.

*E. Gail Matthews, former Librarian for Interlibrary Loan Services for the IUB Libraries, died Monday, February 12 in Bedford, Indiana. Services will be held on Friday at 12:30 at the First Presbyterian Church in Bedford. Memorial contributions may be made to Christopher Care Bags & Bears Trust Fund for Abused and Neglected Children, a project designed by Gail to help needy children.

The search and screen committee has been appointed for the position of Geology and Digital Maps Librarian. The search and screen committee has been appointed for the position of Director of the Lilly Library. *InULA Scholarship 2001

The InULA Board invites applications for the InULA Scholarship to be awarded by May 1, 2001. This scholarship is intended to encourage and reward the potential for excellence in the library and information science profession. Guidelines for application are available on the InULA website at: http://www.indiana.edu/~inula/scholguide.html

*IUPUI Rufus Reiberg Reading Series

Rufus Reiberg Reading Series Presents Second National Author The IUPUI School of Liberal Arts Department of English Creative Writing Program and the IUPUI University Library are presenting the second of the Rufus Reiberg Reading Series of visiting writers for Spring 2001. Featured national author Reginald Shepherd will present his poetry on Thursday, February 22, 4:00 p.m., in the University Library Lilly Auditorium.

Award winning poet Reginald Shepherd was the recipient of the 1993 Associated Writing Programs' Award for Poetry, for his first book, Some Are Drowning. He has also received a "Discovery"/ The Nation award, a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, and an Illinois Arts Council poetry fellowship. Recently, Sheperd's book, Wrong, was a selection of the Poetry Club of the Academy of American Poets, and he teaches at Cornell University.

All of the Rufus Reiberg Reading Series presentations are free to the public and will take place at the IUPUI University Library, Lilly Auditorium, Lower Level, 755 West Michigan Street, with guest parking available at the North Street Garage. For further information, please call (317) 274-9831.
