Effective February 18, Sibyl Bedford accepted the position of Metadata Cataloger, Technical Services, Bloomington. Prior to accepting this position, Sibyl worked 50% in the Digital Library Program. She will now hold both 50%FTE positions.
Effective February 20, Heiko Muehr accepted the position of Campus Library Coordinator, Geography and Map Library, Bloomington. Prior to accepting this position Heiko worked in the Education Library.
Effective February 18, Terrance Newell accepted the position of Metadata Cataloger, Technical Services, Bloomington. Prior to accepting this position, Terrance worked in the Marathon County Public Library, Wausau, Wisconsin. He has an MLS Degree from University of Southern Mississippi.
*2002 Campus Holiday
Campus Holiday is a floating holiday that becomes available to use at the start of spring break, March 10, 2002. It can then be taken at a date mutually agreeable to the employee and supervisor. In order to receive this holiday, it must be taken before the end of the last full pay period in December, 2003.

*2002 ILF Annual Conference Store Volunteers Needed
If you are planning to attend the 2002 ILF Annual Conference consider volunteering an hour of your time to helping out in the Conference Store. The Conference Store features ILF materials, ALA items, bibliophile gift items, and collectibles. The Conference Store will be located in the Exhibits area close to the Silent Auction and the Conference Bookstore where books by the keynote speaker, special event, and coffee talk authors will be signed and sold. The Conference Store will be open Tuesday, April 30, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, May 1, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. If you would like to volunteer, please contact: Cheryl Truesdell, truesdel@ipfw.edu, 260-481-6506.

*Quilt Exhibit at Wylie House Museum
Wylie House Museum will open the 2002 season with an exhibit of 30 antique quilts dating from the 1840s to the 1940s. The exhibit opens on Thursday, February 28 and runs through Saturday, March 9. Coinciding with the Indiana Heritage Quilt Show, the exhibit will be open from 10:00-4:00 for the first three days, February 28-March 2, and from 10:00-2:00 on March 5 through March 9. These quilts, 14 of which were borrowed from friends of Wylie House, offer an exceptional opportunity to study changes in style, fabric and techniques across time. The exhibit is free and open to the public. The Museum is located at 307 East Second Street, Bloomington.

*Wylie House Annual Seed Sale
Over 50 varieties of heirloom seeds will be available at the Wylie House Museum's Annual Seed Sale to be held on Saturday, March 2 from 10:00-4:00. Thirty of these varieties were grown in the Wylie House Heritage Garden and 27 varieties come from Seed Savers Exchange. All are nonhybrid, open pollinated, and organically grown.
Gardeners should also mark their calendars for Saturday, May 11. Wylie House will hold a plant sale on that day. Watch for announcements of other garden-related events at the museum in the coming weeks.
