*$504 Million Raised for Bloomington Endowment
Campaign
At a faculty and staff lunch at the Memorial Union, Chancellor Ken Gros
Louis thanked IU faculty and staff for their participation in the
Bloomington Endowment Campaign. The campaign raised $504 million, or 144
percent of its goal. IU faculty and staff made gifts totaling an unprecedented $27 million. IU now
leads the Big Ten publics in the number of endowed faculty positions, with 333 chairs,
professorships,and curatorships.
Faculty and staff also helped in other ways that include: educating donors,
making presentations to campaign volunteers, agreeing to be featured in
publications, ensuring that gift funds are used for the purposes for which they are
intended, and inspiring students--tomorrow's leaders and scholars.
The IUB Libraries raised $5.4 million, exceeding its goal by $1.4 million,
or 136 percent. With grateful appreciation, we celebrate these and the many other
contributions you have made, and continue to make, to IU's enduring
success.

Learning Communities," said Scott Evenbeck, Dean, University College, "and I

to extending the effectiveness of the wireless technology that builds on our
instructional team model."
