*Walden University Update, IUB
The Walden Summer Session will begin on July 6 and officially end on July 25. About 400 doctoral students and a smaller number of Master's students will attend the session, for a total of 450. Approximately half the students will leave on July 18 or 19.
There will be no Walden library in the student dormitory this summer, but we and our student assistants will staff the "Walden Library Concierge" office in E-172 during most hours the Main Library is open.
Graduation will be held in the IU Auditorium at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19. The ceremony will include the investiture of Dr. Paula Peinovich as President and Provost of Walden University. You are welcome to attend the ceremony and the reception that follows (at Showalter Fountain).
Walden students, faculty, and staff will be categorized as IU undergrads and will be issued library cards. UITS will give them IU usernames and passwords so they can access all electronic resources.
Our Summer Document Delivery Service will permit them to request materials from participating Bloomington campus libraries and from libraries on the IU regional campuses, but not from any other institution. They will be required to return all books before they leave campus, and we have asked them to return books to the campus library from which they borrowed them or to the Main Library, which is where books from regional campuses are also to be returned.
