Nancy Wootton Colborn has assumed her new duties as Reference Librarian and Coordinator of Library Instruction and Staff Development. For the last four years, she has served as Reference Librarian and Coordinator of Public Relations.
Feng Shan is now the Reference Librarian and Head of Electronic Services. Prior to accepting this position, Feng was Web Developer and Database Administrator at Patrick Industries and had previously worked at IUSB as Head of Library Computer Applications.

*Search and Screen Committees Appointed, IUBThe search and screen committee has been appointed for the Librarian for English and American Literature position. The members are: Yolanda Cooper (ex officio), Libraries Human Resources Office; Marion Frank-Wilson, SALC; Jeffrey Huntsman, English Department; Joss Marsh, English Department; Joel Silver, Lilly Library; Andrea Singer (chair), Government Information, Microforms, and Statistical Services; John Walsh, LETRS; Misty Walter, SALC; and Celestina Wroth, SALC.
The search and screen committee has been appointed for the Executive Director of Development position. The members are: Eric Bartheld, Libraries Administration Office; Jo Burgess, Wylie House Museum; Yolanda Cooper (ex officio), Libraries Human Resources Office; Phyllis Davidson (chair), Libraries Administration Office; Breon Mitchell, Lilly Library; and Julia Pophal, Technical Services Department.
The search and screen committee has been appointed for the Electronic Systems Coordinator position. The members are: Anne Bock, Undergraduate Library Services; Orneal Brown, Library Information Technology; Yolanda Cooper (ex officio), Libraries Human Resources Office; Craig Eich, Business/SPEA Library; DeLoice Holliday (chair), Undergraduate Library Services; and Elinor Okada, Undergraduate Library Services.

Michele Russo, Library Director at IUSB, was guest editor of the most recent issue of Indiana Libraries. The issue is devoted to public relations in libraries and includes articles by Eric Bartheld, Bloomington ("Tips and Techniques: Promoting an Academic Research Library") and Nancy Wootton Colborn, South Bend ("Public Relations Primer: an Annotated Bibliography").

*Steven Sowell received a M.S. in History & Philosophy of Education
Steven Sowell, Head, Education Library, IUB, received a M.S. in history and philosophy of education at the end of August. He will present results of a research project done for a seminar course during the annual conference of the History of Education Society in Pittsburgh, October 31-November 3, 2002. The title of his paper is "Indian Service Teachers' Institutes."
