*Upcoming Remnant Trust Exhibit

The Main Library will be hosting an exhibit of about 45 rare works, on the theme of Liberty, from October 2 through the end of the semester. These works are from a traveling collection of the Remnant Trust, a private organization, and include such works as a copy of the Magna Carta from 1542, a 1610 English edition of Augustine's City of God, and a 1651 edition of Thomas Hobbe's Leviathan, as well as first editions of works by Frederick Douglas, Ayn Rand, and George Orwell. The exhibit is designed for books to be handled by faculty and students--instructors can bring their classes to the library, or check out the books for use in their classes. Please contact Perry Willett or Celestina Wroth for more information.

Special thanks to Joel Silver, Jim Canary, Melissa McAfee, and Randy Lent for their hard work in preparing this exhibit.
