*Libraries Holiday Party, IUB
Thanks for a successful Holiday Party this year. There was plenty of food donated, there were plenty of door prizes donated, and lots of people came and helped us celebrate. We couldn't have pulled this off without lots of help. We really appreciate all that was contributed.

DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE "ANNOUNCEMENTS" WEB PAGE!
Libraries Human Resources has created an "Announcements" web page! The web address is http://www.indiana.edu/~libpers/announcements.html. Postings will display for a term of 6 months. If you have an announcement you would like to place on this page, please send the information to shoff@indiana.edu. Please note this page is designed for announcements that have a duration of more than one week. All other announcements (ie Holiday party announcements, Library Picnic, etc.) would be placed in IUL News. Libraries Human Resources will edit announcements to determine if they should be posted to this website.

*IUL News release during the Holiday Season
The last issue of the IUL News for 2001 will be December 21. There will be no IUL News for the week of December 24. The first IUL News release for 2002 will be January 4.
*Library Holiday Hours and Department Closings, IUB
Libraries Human Resources Office
The Libraries Human Resources Office will be officially closed from December 24 through January 1. For those units who do not have support staff or students working on December 22 & 23, you can turn your payroll in to Libraries Human Resources on Friday, December 21. The Libraries Human Resources Office will be open Wednesday, December 26th, from 8 - 10pm, to accept all other timesheets.

Libraries Budget and Supply Office
The Budget and Supply Office will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2001 and will remain closed until 8:00 a.m.Wednesday, January 2, 2002. Please stock up on your supplies, computer/laser paper and toner cartridges to ensure that your supply needs are covered during the holiday break.
Undergraduate Library Services
Renovation of the restrooms on the first floor of the West Tower will begin on Monday, December 17th. The complete renovation of the restrooms and the electrical and janitor closets expected to take eight to nine weeks. Because of the demolition work required to complete the project the West Tower and the Undergraduate Library will be closed from December 15th through January 1st. We will reopen at 8 a.m. on January 2nd. If materials are needed from the UGL collection, please contact the Main Library Circulation Desk to have materials retrieved. Staff will still be able to access materials stored on the 4th and 5th floor of the West Tower. We are hopeful (as always!) that this is the first step in the complete renovation of the first floor and the development of the Information Commons.
