*Technical Services Move Update, IU Bloomington - Reminder

The final physical merger of the Technical Services Department at IU Bloomington will take place over this semester break. The new physical arrangements are aligned with the functional organization that went into effect on April 19. Electrical and telecommunications work on the third floor should be finished by the 27th of Dec. A professional moving company is coming in the weeks of Dec. 20 and 27 to do the physical move. All persons currently on the third floor will have their desks moved and the people currently working on the ground floor (in the former Serials area) will be moved up to the third floor. For these two weeks, all phone calls will be forwarded to 855-1666 (third floor) or 855-5672 (ground floor). The new phone numbers have been posted on the web, but do not use those until after the start of the new year. The web address is: http://www.indiana.edu/~libtserv/newphones.html. During the week of the 20th, things will be somewhat hectic, but normal work will continue as much as possible. During the week of the 27th, most regular work will be suspended and we ask that people try to limit their visits to the area. For your first visits after the physical move, I suggest you stop at Ed Monroe's desk (our Admin Asst) and pick up a map of "who is sitting where." Thanks for your cooperation
