1. THANKS!!!

Thanks to Lou Malcomb for the slide show she presented and the tour she conducted last week for new librarians and staff. Lou has been doing this twice a year as part of the orientation program for a long time. The Faculty/Staff Development Committee appreciates her gracious willingness to provide this service. You're super, Lou!!

2. FACULTY/STAFF NEWS

On May 9, Steven Schmidt addressed the Philadelphia Area Reference Librarians Information Exchange (PARLIE). The topic of his presentation was: The Trouble is Not in your Set: Electronic Reserves, WWW Access and Copyright at IUPUI.

Nancy Wootton, IUSB Schurz Library, recently participated in two programs at the Indiana Library Federation annual conference in Indianapolis. On April 24th, she was part of a panel of respondents during a pre-conference entitled "This Old Newsletter." She gave a presentation on April 25th, entitled "Internet Public Access Policies - Points to Ponder."

5. InULA BUSINESS MEETING MAY 23

InULA members and friends are cordially invited and encouraged to attend the annual business meeting which will be held Thursday, May 23, 10:30 a.m. to noon in Main Library Room 043 (ground floor conference room). The meeting is scheduled to take place im mediately before the retirement and recognition luncheon and reception in hope that members will take the opportunity to attend both functions. Nominations for the election slate for InULA board will be accepted from the floor, and we will discuss InULA'a activities this year and potential future plans. We hope to see you there!
