1. THANKS!!!

Thanks to Harold Shaffer and the rest of the Access Services team for allowing us to visit their department and learn more about what some of our co-workers do in their jobs. This kind of activity goes a long way toward bringing us all together and makin g us feel like part of the same organization. Great idea! We're looking forward to the next open house.

5. ERGONOMICS TIP

Glare accounts for more than a third of all Video Display Terminal-related eye complaints seen by optometrists. To help reduce glare on your monitor, keep VDT screens away from windows and other sources of bright light:

   * Reduce the intensity of general office lighting.
   * Use drapes or window shades to block out excessive sunlight.
   * Place terminals with screens perpendicular (at right angles) to
     windows, so windows are neither in front of nor behind your VDT.
   * Use a glare filter.
