Robert A. Hinton, IUPUI University Libraries, conducted a presentation, "Tell Someone Who Cares: Creating Opportunities to Inform the World (Outside of Libraries and ) about Government Documents" at the Spring 1997 Depository Library Council Meeting and Federal Depository Conference on April 15, 1997 in Arlington, Virginia.
Terry Reynolds, Bus-Spea Library is featured in the new PA Handbook published by the IU Human Resources Management.
2. RECEPTION FOR NEW LIBRARIANS AND STAFF
The Libraries' Faculty/Staff Development Committee is planning its semi-annual orientation program for librarians and staff appointed since the last orientation. The Committee will again have an informal reception for these employees. Please join us on Tuesday, June 3, between 1:30 - 2:15 p.m., in the Third Floor Lounge (Main Library) for refreshments and take this opportunity to meet your newest colleagues. 4. MONOGRAPHIC PROCESSING SERVICES CREATES NEW SPACE
The MPS Department recently completed a furniture move for the purpose of creating needed space for the approval plan area and the Audio-Visual cataloging area. Months of planning by a team of staff helped the move to go smoothly. Many thanks to all the MPS staff who assisted in all aspects of this move! We also appreciate the loan of moving equipment and assistance from the Customer and Facilities Services Department. We invite library staff to visit and tour our new space arrangement.

The BLFC Elections Committee met Wednesday, May 21 to tally the votes for the new members of the Bloomington Library Faculty Council for the 1997-1999 term. 6. STATE LIBRARY UPDATES STATEWIDE RESOURCE SHARING POLICY
The Indiana State Library is beginning work on developing a new resource sharing policy and protocol for interlibrary loan, reciprocal borrowing, and document delivery in the electronic age. A Task Force will be meeting over the next few months to consider issues and develop a policy. The Task Force is interested in hearing from all parts of the Indiana library community concerning changes needed in the 1985 Indiana Resource Sharing Manual, new areas that need to be addressed, and any other comments.

The 1997 Bloomington Campus Occupational Health and Safety Fair will be held on June 4, 1997 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Alumni Hall and the Solarium in the IMU. There will be departmental and vendor booths as well as door prizes. The speakers will be on violence in the workplace, preventing back injuries, preventing eye injuries and relieving stress in the workplace (yoga).
