2. WEB ACCESS TO WORLD NEWS CONNECTION
GPD is pleased to announce that access is now availble to the World News Connection on the web. We thank the Online Database Committee and others for funding this five-user access. The url is:
World News Connection contains the full text summaries on newspaper articles, conference proceedings, radio and television broadcasts, periodicals and non-classified technical reports. For current access, this basically replaces the CD access to the daily reports from FBIS.
For back issues of the Daily reports on microfiche, contact GPD Reference.
WNC is a service of the National Technical Information Service. GPD has also received "NTIS Order Now Catalog" which describes thousands of the latest products available from NTIS (latest disc is Jan 95-Dec. 96).
Reference staff may also want to come try "Declassified Documents Reference System: Index and Abstracts", another CD-ROM product now available in GPD. If you all recall, the print indexes are not that user-friendly so we are pleased to have the cumulative CD-ROM version.
