4. DON'T FORGET TO USE THE MASTER CALENDAR!

There is a master calendar in Library Personnel where we list most meetings and training sessions that have been widely announced. Suzann Easter (sleaster) maintains this calendar, and you can let her know if you want something listed. If you're scheduling a meeting and want to avoid conflicts, consulting the master calendar may help.

5. HORIZON CONFERENCE

The Horizon Communications and Training Committee (HCTC) is pleased to announce a system-wide teleconference for the purpose of sharing information regarding the upcoming implementation of Horizon throughout the IU Libraries system. Our goal is to provide a basic forum that will attempt to address the questions and concerns of all library staff.

Although the program itself will take place in Bloomington, the event will be simultaneously telecast to the regional campuses as well, providing viewers with an opportunity to ask questions and provide input. Short demonstrations of the individual modules will be given as will an overview of the whole project. Also, librarians from IUPUI will share with us their experiences pertaining to the recent implementation of INDYCAT.

The tentative date for the Horizon Teleconference is Nov. 10 from 1-3 pm. The official date and location will be announced as soon as they become available.
