1. STAFF NEWS
Rosanne M. Cordell and Nancy Wootton Colborn, Schurz Library, IUSB, have been named as recipients of the Teaching Excellence Recognition Award (TERA). Each will receive a stipend of $1500.00.
We are pleased to announce that Diane Dallis has been appointed Visiting Librarian for Electronic Instructional Resources in the Undergraduate Library effective May 18, 1998. Diane has worked since February, 1997 as the UGLS Visiting Instructional Services Coordinator. This position will not be filled for the duration of her appointment as Visiting Librarian.
Diane graduated from Indiana University in 1994 with a B.A. in Art Education. She received her MLS from Indiana University School of Library and Information Science in 1997. When she was an undergraduate student Diane worked in the Fine Arts Library. While working on her MLS, Diane served as Circulation Supervisor in the Education Library and as Assistant Stacks Supervisor in the Main Library for Customer Facilities & Services.
We look forward to Diane's continued presence in the Undergraduate Library.

Nancy Schmidt, Librarian for African Studies, is the author of Award-winning children's books:the Noma selections l980-l994 , in Meena Khorana. ed. "Critical Perspectives on Postcolonial African Children's Literature." Westport:Greenwood Press, l998. This essay includes information from the Noma Award for Publishing in Africa Archive which is housed at Lilly Library and which Nancy was responsible for having deposited at IU.
2. DIGITAL LIBRARY PROGRAM OPEN FORUM
A Digital Library Program open forum is scheduled for Monday, June 1st in Sweeney Hall, M015 Simon Music Library and Recital Center 2-4 p.m. At the forum there will be project demonstrations, updates on current initiatives, and a question/answer period regarding the IU Digital Library Program. 3. REMINDER TO ALL INULA MEMBERS
The annual Spring business meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26 from 3:45-5:00 p.m. in the Main Library Staff Lounge. All InULA members are urged to attend, enjoy light refreshments, discuss the Constitution and By-Law changes and hear what was accomplished this year and what members can look forward to in 1998-1999.
