Lakitas: A panpipe practice from northern Chile
Lakitas is the most popular panpipe group practice in the Arica-Parinacota region of northern Chile. In this noon time concert, the local group T'ikharaña Marka (Bloomington in the Aymara language) will perform a few tunes on the instruments while Juan Eduardo Wolf will show photographs and videos from his fieldwork in the area, as well as describe the context in which the tunes are played.
