The Bloomington Library Faculty Council (BLFC) is the formal representative organization of the library faculty at Indiana University, Bloomington. It functions as an advisory body to the library administration and as the governing body of the Bloomington Library faculty. BLFC is composed of ten members (nine elected at-large by the librarians and one member elected Bloomington Faculty Council representative), and the Dean of University Libraries. Members of the council elected at-large are elected for a term of two years and are not eligible for re-election until a lapse of two years. The BFC representative serves for one year. The functions of the council are stipulated in the Constitution of the Library Faculty. Standing Committees appointed by the Council include: Collection Development, Faculty Standards, Continuing Education, Constitution and By-Laws, Budgetary Advisory, Election, Salary Equity Review
