The construction of the Scholars. Commons, which will be located on the first floor of the East Tower, is scheduled to start in October and will take nine months to one year. The Circulation Services on Document Delivery Services, Request Delivery, and ALF items are now on the 2nd floor of the East Tower, in the left corner after getting off from the elevator. There will still remain a small, one-person Circulation Desk on the first floor as long as possible.
The West Tower reference desk will become the main service point for the Reference Services Department. Public photocopiers will be relocated to the second floor of the East Tower.
The "New Books" shelves of the East Tower will be emptied, and this service will be suspended during the renovation
The Graduate Commons, located on the 8th floor behind the elevators, is open now. It offers graduate students dedicated study spaces with wireless power and a quiet environment. Using a card-swipe entry, it requires a valid IU Bloomington graduate student ID card. Please visit the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor of the East Tower if you are unable to access to the room with a valid graduate student ID card.
To register, please go to "IUB Libraries Workshops ".
