What is Infogate and what is on Infogate?
Infogate is the major library menu system that provides remote access to an expanded set of online catalogs, journal indexes and other databases. Access to these databases varies by IU campus, per individual licenses set up by campus library. The description below describes the set of databases that are available for faculty, students and staff of the IU Bloomington campus. These include IUCAT, OCLC's WorldCat, RLIN/Eureka, Academic Search FullTEXT Elite, ERIC, MLA, PsycINFO, and many others.

For IU Bloomington, we expect the number of databases available on Infogate to continue to grow, within funding limitations.

Here's the list of databases available via Infogate for IU Bloomington faculty, students and staff, as of March 1998.

IUCAT, Indiana University Libraries Online Catalog is free to all (Login as user GUEST)

Access to all other databases on Infogate requires that you login with your valid IU ID number (usually your social security number), or with your library barcode number (located at the bottom of your IU ID card, a 14 digit number that usually begins with 2 0000).
