The Lilly Library regularly partners with the Indiana University Digital Library Program to digitize select portions of the Library's collections. Below are links to completed projects and those currently in development.
At War and at Home: Monroe County Timeline 1855-1875
To mark the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, the Monroe County Public Library and the Monroe County History Center have partnered with the Lilly Library and the Wylie House Museum to create this publicly accessible digital collection.
Frank M. Hohenberger Photograph Collection
Hohenberger documented life in Brown County, Indiana, and elsewhere from 1917 to 1960. Search more than 9,000 digital images.
IN Harmony: Sheet Music from Indiana
Search some of the holdings from the Lilly Library's approximately 150,000 pieces of sheet music, including those for which there are digitized images available. Part of a collaboration between four Indiana collections.
The database includes all the sheet music in the Sam DeVincent Collection of American Sheet Music and a small proportion of the Starr Sheet Music Collection.
Jane Johnson's Manuscript Nursery Library
Digital images of every item in this unique collection of materials made by an 18th-century Englishwoman for the instruction of her children.
The Jerry Slocum Mechanical Puzzle Collection
Still under development. Users may view images of selected puzzles by keyword-searching the database, or browsing the puzzle classification scheme developed by Mr. Slocum.
