About the Exhibit.
This exhibit, curated by Christoph Irmscher, was originally on display at the Lilly Library from November 18 to December 19, 2009, in celebration of the Darwin Bicentennial.
The web version of the exhibit was written by Christoph Irmscher, Indiana University (www.christophirmscher.com). The author of several books, including most recently Longfellow Redux (paperback edition, 2008) and Louis Agassiz: Creator of American Science (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2013), Christoph teaches English at Indiana University. His previous exhibits include “Public Poet, Private Man: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow at 200.”
“Music for the Worms” was designed by Alex Teschmacher. All photography is by Zach Downey, The Lilly Library. The curator wishes to thank Gabriel Swift (now at Princeton University) and Jim Canary for their help in creating the original exhibit.
