The Collections: Special databases: Hojas Volantes
Search descriptions of more than 1300 printed ephemera, including many broadsides from Ecuador on various topics such as government anouncements, politics, petitions, death notices, school programs, theater fliers, church announcements, etc.
The items, in Spanish, were printed between 1854 and 1920, the majority in Quito or Riobamba. Other places of printing include Ambato, Babahoya, Guaranda, Guayaquil, and San Jose de Chimbo, among others. Some items have manuscript annotations. The collection is from the library of Bernardo Mendel.
This collection is housed at the Auxiliary Library Facility (ALF).
