The two-page manuscript of Auld Lang Syne, which has been described as the earliest in existence, has had a distinguished history. It was originally part of a long letter from Burns to a Mrs. Dunlop, dated December 7, 1788, most of which is now in The Pierpont Morgan Library in New York. (From: Joel Silver, J.K.
