Fleming-related manuscripts in the Lilly LibraryThe Fleming manuscripts, 1952-1962, are writings of Ian Fleming that the Lilly Library purchased from Fleming's widow, Anne Fleming, in 1970. A detailed description of each item is recorded. The Pearson, J., manuscripts, 1964-1966, consist of interviews by John Pearson, 1930- , author, conducted with some eighty-two persons in order to obtain material for a biography of Ian Fleming. Other notes with the collection are "Bond's Spots and Places." The Russell, L. manuscripts, 1908-1967, consist of correspondence and papers of and collected by Leonard Russell, 1906-1974, literary editor of The Sunday Times, and John Pearson, 1930- , author, for the preparation of a biography of Ian Fleming by Pearson. |
