The Untermeyer mss. IV, 1936-1942, are those New Poems collected by Louis Untermeyer, 1885-1977, author, in an album by the following writers: Marion A. Brigham, Rosalie (Moore) Brown, Charles Edward Eaton, Richard David Ellmann, Bill Gram, Dilys (Bennett) Laing, David Thompson Watson McCord, Muriel Rukeyser, Florida (Watts) Smyth, C.J. Stevens, Red Valens, Katherine W. Van der Veer, and Marya Zaturenska.

Other materials include a biographical sketch of Franklin Pierce Adams; a mimeographed essay beginning: Language is used to communicate Meaning; a letter from Richard Ellmann, dated September 14, 1942; an undated note from Muriel Rukeyser inscribed on Lilly PT2605 .A65 T6; and a few printed pieces.
