DE LANGE MSS.
The De Lange mss., ca. 1970-2002, consist of the correspondence and translation manuscripts of Nicholas de Lange. Nicholas Robert Michael de Lange was born on August 7, 1944 in Nottingham, England. He has a B.A. and D. Phil. from Oxford University and is presently a reader in Hebrew and Jewish Studies at Cambridge University. He is a translator of modern Hebrew literature and the author of several books on Jewish culture and history. This collection relates primarily to his translations from Hebrew into English of the works of Israeli author Amos Oz.
The collection is organized into the following series: I. Correspondence; II. Translations of Amos Oz; III. Translation of A.B. Yehoshua. A preliminary inventory is available.
