DRESSER MSS.
The Dresser mss., 1897-1904, consist of letters of Paul Dresser, 1857-1906, song writer, to Mary Ellis South, 1880- 1968, to whom he dedicated "On the Banks of the Wabash;" newspaper clippings relating to Paul Dresser and to Miss South; a photograph of Paul Dresser; a photograph of his birthplace in Terre Haute, Indiana; and a ms. copy of Louise Dresser's [Reminiscences of Paul Dresser and account of how she happened to take the stage name, "Dresser"].
