FLANAGAN MSS.
The Flanagan mss., 1861-1962, are the papers of Emma Cecelia (Rector) Flanagan, (Mrs. Edward E. Flanagan), 1870- 1964. They consist primarily of correspondence with the Dreiser and Rose families dealing with personal matters.
There are letters from Albert J. Dreiser, 1893; Claire Clotilda (Dreiser) Gormley, (Mrs. Harry V. Gormley), 1895- 1915; Edward Meinrad Dreiser, 1894; Theodore Dreiser, 1893- 1911; Paul Dresser, 1895-1904; Harry V. Gormley, 1918-1926; and Civil War letters from Elihu E. Rose, 1861-1862, as well as his commission as a captain of the 21st regiment of the Indiana Volunteer Militia, 1861.
Included are also photographs of Claire Clotilda (Dreiser) Gormley, Emma Wilhelmina (Dreiser) Nelson, Edward Meinrad Dreiser, Paul Dresser; and a few newspaper clippings.
The first folder contains biographical material on the families represented in the collection.
