NIGGEMAN MSS.
The Niggeman mss., 1943-1982, consist chiefly of letters from author Nigel Nicolson, and members of his family, to Elvira Niggeman. Miss Niggeman had been secretary to Nigel's father, Sir Harold George Nicolson, for many years and was thus close to both of his sons and to their families. The majority of the letters are from Nigel Nicolson, 1917- , younger son of Sir Harold and Vita Sackvill-West. Other correspondents include Lady Phillipa McAlpine, Benedict Nicolson, Elvira Niggeman, Vita Sackville-West and Lady Gwendolen (Nicolson) St. Levan. Also present are a few clippings about the Nicolson family, particularly Nigel.
