PRÉVOST–PARADOL MSS.
Prévost–Paradol mss.,[December 1863], consists of a signed, heavily corrected article in the form of a letter addressed to the editors of the Courier du Dimanche. In the letter, he comments on manned flight, the Archduke Maximilian and the U.S. Civil War. Lucien–Anatole Prévost–Paradol, 1829–1870, was a French journalist, author and essayist whose editorials continue to be models for aspiring journalists. Prévost–Paradol was a member of the Académie française and French Ambassador to the United States when he committed suicide on July 19, 1870 in Washington, DC.
