THOMPSON, S. MSS.
The Thompson, S. mss., 1911-1972, are the papers of Stith Thompson, 1885-1976, professor of English and folklore at Indiana University. The collection consists of correspondence; writings by Thompson; biographical and autobiographical materials including travel files and diaries; materials relating to professional societies and conferences to which he belonged and attended; and family genealogies on which he worked over the years. A file of printed materials completes the collection.
