The Ackroyd mss., 1959-1967, are letters written to Graham Ackroyd, artist, by Philip Kenneth Callow, 1924- , author. Callow reports on his writing and dealings with publishers, domestic news, and his interest in painting. He comments on fellow writers and artists. In 1962 Callow completed a short novel which he said would not be coming out "too much Henry Miller in it." At one time he was seriously considering going to live in Dublin and later asked for advice on ways and means of settling in India and making some sort of living.
