The Arden, C. mss., 1938-1940, consist of twenty-eight letters from Edward Frederic Benson, 1867-1940, author, to writer Clive Arden, 1888- . The letters are concerned with literary topics, social engagements, and the growing deterioration of Benson's health. The last letter was written just two weeks before his death.
