BLACKWOOD MSS.

The Blackwood mss., 1852-1887, consist of letters to Sir Stevenson Arthur Blackwood, 1832-1893, postal official and reformer, and to his mother, Mrs. Arthur Johnstone Blackwood. The letters concern postal appointments and business or social engagements.

Among the correspondents are: Henry du Pre Labouchere, Lord John James Robert Manners, Henry Stafford Northcote, Lord John Russell, John Charles Ryle, Robert Arthur Talbot Gascoyne Cecil, 3rd Marquis of Salisbury, Sir James Stansfeld, Sir Charles Warren, Lord Frederic Glyn Wolverton.
