BONONNO MSS.
The Bononno mss., ca. 1996-2003, consist of drafts, proofs, editorial correspondence, etc. of translations by Robert Bononno of various French works. Bononno resides in New York City, where he has taught courses in translation at NYU and CUNY. In 2002, he was awarded an NEA fellowship in support of his ongoing efforts to translate the works of French traveler and writer Isabelle Eberhardt. Bononno is also a photographer whose works are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Bibliothèque Nationale.
