BULLEN MSS.
The Bullen mss., ca. 1898-1935, consist of the autograph manuscripts of six works by English author Frank Thomas Bullen, 1857-1915. The titles present are The cruise of the Cachalot (1898); The log of a sea-waif (1899); With Christ at sea (1900); The call of the deep (1907); Confessions of an amateur tradesman (1908 - published as Confessions of a tradesman); and On bottomry (1913? - published as The salvage of a sailor). All are written in ink and all are bound.
Also present is a file of correspondence, 1933-1935, chiefly between investment banker Carl Howard Pforzheimer, 1879-1957, and London bookseller John Taylor about Pforzheimer's Bullen collection and The Cruise of the Cachelot in particular.
