BULWER-LYTTON MSS.
The Bulwer-Lytton mss., 1827-1872, consist of letters of Edward George Earle Lytton, Lord Bulwer-Lytton, 1803-1873, author. Topics discussed in Bulwer-Lytton's letters include his writings, theories of poetry and poetry criticism, and various social matters. Included also are a few letters by other people relating to Bulwer-Lytton or his family. These correspondents are William Henry Lytton Earle Bulwer, baron Dalling and Bulwer, Abraham Hayward, William Hazlitt, and Baroness Rosina Doyle (Wheeler) Bulwer-Lytton.
Six copies of an 1846 engraving of Lord Bulwer-Lytton, a Carte de Visite photograph taken late in his life, and bound corrected page proofs for the final section of his My Novel (serial appearance, 1852) complete the collection.
