CRIST MSS.
The Crist mss., 1861-1865, consist of letters to Barbara Ellen Crist, chiefly from her brother, Milton C. Crist, 1838-1864, and her future husband, John Erastus Lane, 1837-1893, both of whom were soldiers with the Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. Some of the letters refer to the battles of Murfreesboro, 1862-1863; Chattanooga, 1863; and Missionary Ridge, 1863.
A letter written to Barbara Lane in 1893 from her brother-in-law, Jesse B. Lane, and in 1897 from her niece, Vicera Alspach, complete the collection.
