DAVID MSS.
The David mss., ca. 1996–2005, consist of the papers of professor Alfred David. David was born in 1929. He began teaching at Indiana University in 1958 where he is presently emeritus professor of English.
The collection concerns David's vetting of Seamus Heaney's translation of Beowulf, and subsequent editorial correspondence concerning that translation.
